This may be due to a variety of factors, including:
- You may not be adjusting your incontinence product as much as you can
- There may be a lack of care in the perineal region, and if you're in a constant position with your product for long periods of time, pain may occur
- You could be using a cheaply constructed product
- You may be using a product with a top layer material which reacts adversely with your skin
